The invention and perfection of the first automobile wasn’t too long ago; in fact, it’s been less than two centuries. The automotive industry has since grown exponentially, so in honor of its great strides, here are 15 car riddles.

The first automobile powered by a gas engine was the three-wheeled Benz Patent Motorcar, model no.1. Carl Benz had spent years developing the vehicle and officially patented it on January 29, 1886.

It wouldn’t be long before America joined in, becoming one of the giants of the automotive industry, as businessmen like Henry Ford developed mass-production techniques for his automobiles.

Needless to say, the industry has come a long way since and continues to evolve. So, in honor of those who began its legacy and those who continue to make enduring contributions, here are 15 car riddles.
